Board Denied Water Fee Waiver, Greenlit Development

Hamburg Board of Public Works denied a water shutoff fee waiver, upheld a disputed residential bill, and authorized infrastructure letters for The Woods development.

misc · Meeting of August 12, 2026

NJ HAMBURG — Hamburg Board of Public Works denied a water shutoff fee waiver, upheld a disputed residential bill, and authorized infrastructure letters for The Woods development. The board determined a 35 Circle Drive resident owed a contested bill in full after Water Operator John Perry's review showed a three-times-replaced meter in good working order; the resident had filled a swimming pool. Engineer Paul Ferriero reported The Woods development would require approximately 12,600 gallons of water daily and 6,750 gallons of sewer capacity, with sewer fees paid but water fees outstanding.

The board unanimously approved authorization of will-serve letters to be drafted by Boswell Engineering.
